Well, I barely made it!

As I said before.....this artist really didn't inspire me much....not that I don't like his work...I just couldn't find a connection with my own style. Instead of struggling with a piece and then hating it...I decided to pic up my camera and play with photoshop. I have an antique toy soldier from my Grandmother's house that I used....I think I hit somewhat on Kenny Wong's color palette and his playful style. Hope you like....

guess who FINISHED their project BEFORE the deadline this month!!!!

well here is my submission for this month's artist challenge........since i am not as talented as weezie when it comes to building armatures for creative endeavors, i purchased this little "art body" at a local art store and then created the hell out of him!! LOL......as you can see it is my version of "corporate andy"...........wanted to do something i would enjoy having around the house!!! :)....hope you like!! :)

i became obsessed with the fact that this guy used peppermints in his art......i love peppermints so i had to incorporate it into my piece.....this is a manipulated photo using prismacolor pencils..... hope ya like!! :)

just so ya know....i haven't forgotten my piece for this month's artist.....been really busy with work etc and i will post it this weekend...have to get it finished up.....and i will get the magic number together to see who the next artist is..............can't wait to see what's next!!! :)

Goth Girl meets Teddy Bear

Okay...so here is my latest piece in our homage series. This I have entitled "Goth Girl meets Teddy Bear"...I had fun playing around with this style and I loved Ryan Myer's teddy bears so much I had to include my own...along with a cute little goth girl that reflects my own personality a bit more. Such fun! This was drawn with Prismacolor pencils on a 9"x11" wooden panel. The border is done in black acrylic with some rough white stripes (you will always find some black and white stripes in my pieces...my continuous tribute to Tim Burton). Hope you like it!
